LLOYD KIM
Coordinator of Mission to the World Lloyd Kim was elected coordinator of Mission to the World (MTW) by the 2015 General Assembly. A native of California, he graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in engineering and worked as a consultant with Ernst & Young before getting his M.Div. at Westminster Seminary in California and his doctorate in New Testament Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. He was associate pastor with New Life Mission Church (PCA) in Fullerton, Calif., before joining MTW. Lloyd and his wife Eda served as missionaries with MTW beginning in 2004 in the Philippines and then in Cambodia, where they initiated a new church-planting work which grew to a team of 20 working in multiple sites. Eda worked part-time as a physician at a Christian clinic in Phnom Penh, which treated patients connected to their church-planting work. She also mentored medical students and home schooled their children. Lloyd served as MTW’s international director of the Asia-Pacific region before his nomination as MTW coordinator in July of 2014. The Kims have three children: Kaelyn, Christian, and Katy. They reside in Lilburn, Georgia. |
ROY TAYLOR
Stated Clerk of PCA General Assembly L. Roy Taylor was born in Birmingham, Alabama. His highest degree is a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. Dr. Taylor has been a minister of the Presbyterian Church in America since its inception in 1973 and was a commissioner to every PCA General Assembly. He was ordained at the first meeting of Evangel Presbytery. He served as pastor of Rainbow Presbyterian Church in Gadsden, Alabama for five years and pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Hattiesburg, Mississippi for eleven years. He served ten years on the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary of Jackson, Mississippi. He served as Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the PCA 1998-2020. He and his wife of fifty-four years, Donna, live in the Greater Atlanta area. They have a son, Timothy Taylor, and a daughter, Rebekah Whitmire, and nine grandchildren |
RANDY POPE
Founding Pastor of Perimeter Church President of Life on Life Ministries Randy Pope is the founding pastor of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Georgia. After 42 years of leading Perimeter Church, in September 2019, he moved into the role of full-time Assistant Pastor of Perimeter Church and President of Life on Life Ministries. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a major in math and Reformed Theological Seminary. Since its start in 1977, Perimeter and its church plants have started more than 30 churches in the Atlanta area. In addition to churches planted both nationally and internationally, Perimeter is a founding partner of Unite!, a group of over 120 churches from different denominations working together to bring Kingdom transformation to the city of Atlanta. His personal passion and commitment is to make and train disciples of Christ. He founded Life on Life Ministries, an organization committed to establishing life-on-life missional discipleship in churches worldwide. In addition to training church leaders throughout the world, he has been a guest lecturer at numerous universities and graduate schools. He has written books specifically for pastors and leaders, The Intentional Church and Insourcing. He has also written a book for singles, Finding Your Million Dollar Mate. He has developed resources used around the world that include: The Journey, a gospel centered resource for discipleship and Express Your Faith, a relational way to help others investigate Christ. He has also developed resources for those exploring Christianity that include Life Issues and Next Steps booklets. Randy and Carol have four grown children and fifteen grandchildren. |
